Saturday, June 21, 2003 Today I am feeling: potty 
Books I am reading: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix J. K. Rowling Games I am playing: The Sims Superstar [PC]  Yes, it finally got here. I was expecting FedEx to deliver the book at 9am or something so I dragged myself outta bed this morning at about 8am so I'd hear the honk/knock/whatever. I stayed up until ungodly hours last night finishing the last 460 or so pagess of Goblet of Fire so I'd remember what had happened previously. Anyway, my little Amazon.com package didn't arrive until at least 11am. I say at least because I kept watching and listening for a truck or a noise to indicate it had come, but finally at about 1:30pm I was cranky and sad and went outside to check "just in case" and there my little package lie, all alone on the concrete, barely safe from the drizzle. Damn it'd probably been there all morning hehe. Oh well, I ripped open the threatening package ("Do not deliver under any circumstances before June 21, 2003") and read some of while trying to eat lunch. I gave up on lunch and found a quiet spot and read the first 2 chapters. Let's just say it starts off with a bang, it does. But since reading makes me sleepy, and I am still kinda sick and I was up late last night and lacking sleep and it was past my (and my cat's) naptime, I set the book down and took a nap, and it was the first time in a very long time I remember having a dream during a nap. Fortunately my dreams were not nearly as frightening as Harry's. Anyway, I gotta go now, I got reading to do so I won't feel left out of the entire population of the planet who not only knows who dies (well, I know too, cuz I cheated and read spoilers while waiting for my book) but who have already finished the book while I've not even started chapter 3 yet.

Books I am reading: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire J. K. Rowling Games I am playing: The Sims Superstar [PC] Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone [PC] OMG!! Hedwig dies! Hehe. Ok, well I dunno, but that's my prediction about that silly book that comes out at what, midnight tomorrow or something? <yawn> Yeah, well, all I got to say is Amazon.com better deliver, I mean, I just checked and they haven't even SHIPPED yet! <panics> Ok, I'm fine. A little obsessed maybe, but fine. Here's what else I think will happen in book 5: Dumbledore will tell Harry "everything" about his father, including the fact that his father really isn't dead, but has been protecting him. You see, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ... oh wait, erm I mean, a long time ago there was this group of troublemakers at Hogwart's, one of whom was Harry's dad, but another of whom was Lupin, and seeing as Harry's dad was real good at avoiding taking the heat for stuff, his pal Lupin took it instead. Lupin was so protective of Harry's dad that they decided to switch roles using a polyjuice potion, well that was all fun and stuff until Voldemort ... I mean ... "You Know Who" decided to put an end to Harry's dad because well, he was just too smart and stuff. Or he was the true heir to Gryffindor or something. Anyway, Voldy decides to kill James (Harry's dad) but since James is really Lupin, it's Lupin who dies not James and James, still maurauding around as Lupin (get it? maurauding? hehe) goes to Hogwart's to protect Harry when he finds out Harry is in mortal peril. Then once Harry knows the truth Voldy gets pissed and decides to get Harry where it hurts, by killing Hedwig (those bad guys always go after your family, you know) and this puts poor Harry in a tizzy, I mean, it's bad enough this wiz dude tries to kill you and your parents but now he's gotten your pet too?!!? How DARE he! So Harry gets angry and revengeful and goes nuts and this puts him at risk of being controlled by Voldy and the book ends with a huge cliffhanger and we have to wait another three years (or more!) to find out what happens. So, that's my prediction. I could be totally wrong, and no I have NOT read the book yet but I have read a few of the "spoilers", but none of what I've revealed is contained in any of those I've read. I've also read a few posts on the message boards but most of them seem very logical, and mine is just well, wacky so they're probably right and I'm wrong and I'm sure someone will find fault with my predicitions but hey, if I was a writer that's how I'd do the story. Hehe. Let's just hope I'm not right about Hedwig. <cries>

Books I am reading: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire J. K. Rowling Games I am playing: The Sims Superstar [PC] Sim City 4 [PC] The Sims Online [PC free trial] I am sick. Tomorrow is my birthday. Waaaah. But Harry Potter book comes out in 5 days! But I've just started re-reading book 4 and I'm sick! Waaaah. K, that's all I have to say. Heh.
