Monday, February 24, 2003 Today I am feeling: ducky

The ducks are back! Hurray! Every Spring (or thereabouts) the same duck comes back to my house, first it was just the female ducky, then later there were two, I guess she had found a mate, and for the last couple years there have been three, 2 males and a female, I'm not sure what to make of that, either she's a very lucky girl or her son refuses to get married and move outta the house. In any case, they're cute. And this year, I had a new fiend, erm friend to introduce to them: The Evil Kaia Attack Cat From Hell muhahaha. Poor ducks will probably never come back. I can probably train my kitty not to chase them but since they not only move but make noise too, it's gonna be a tough job. In other news I'm still SICK grrr I thought this was just a mild cold at first and that I was "well" last week but then it turned into a nasty cough (and the kitty litter dust and the wacky weather we've had here hasn't helped) that won't go away, I have been in bed most of the time the last few days and have ditched school a few times so now not only am I gonna be late on a couple assignments (cuz I've been too damn sick to finish them) but my grade might go down if I don't watch it cuz apparently college nowadays is like pre-school and if you miss more than 3 classes during the semester, your grade goes down. Lame. So, I gotta watch it and not miss more classes or I might get B's which would suck given I've gotten all A's on my assignments. Anyway, this cough sucks cuz if I exert myself even a little, it triggers a coughing fit and then I can't breathe and it makes me look like a loser hehee. I'd go to a doctor but they'd just say, "You have a bad cold, drink plenty of fluids and get lots of rest, that'll be $100 please." and since I'm poor and jobless/insuranceless I ain't gonna pay $100 to be told to drink juice. So, unless it doesn't clear up in another week or unless I start coughing up slime or icky putrid junk, I'll just avoid the doctor.
