Wednesday, February 05, 2003 Today I am feeling: pissed 
Books I am reading: The Subtle Knife Philip Pullman Voyages Through the Universe Fraknoi/Morrison/Wolff Games I am SimCity 4 First, this is the 2nd time I've had to type this since apparently Blogger isn't working right today and it not only didn't publish what I wrote the first time, it deleted it so I had to start all over grrrr. Anyway, I had my first astronomy test today, and I didn't do very well cuz I couldn't concentrate cuz some moron was using his cellphone to send/receive text messages and everytime one came in, there was an irritating buzz. I guess he didn't think anyone would hear it, moron. And, as if this wasn't annoying enough, he was also whispering to his friends all through the test, which is what he does during class lectures too, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Fortunately, he left early (either he finished early cuz the test was very easy, for him, or maybe he felt guilty and left haha yeah right) anyway he was gone pretty early so I could concentrate better, but I was so pissed I couldn't think straight. Normally I don't care if people cheat but if it affects me (as in the teacher grades on a curve, or their cheating is distracting to me or other students) then I get pissed. Sometimes I even tattle, yes, I am the epitome of evil. But since there is no God to keep people honest, I should do it, right? Personally, from my own experience of people I've met in my life, it's the ones who do believe in God who tend to be the most dishonest, cruel and obnoxious, I guess they figure God will forgive them or something. I personally think atheists tend to be more moral cuz they don't believe in a "sky daddy" who will come rescue us and so to make life more tolerable, it's best to be nice to each other and treat each other with respect. But I admit I do tend to have a bit of self-righteousness at times cuz I don't understand why so many people are such buttheads to other people (and themselves.) I feel like I get screwed for being honest and actually working for what I've gained in life rather than lying and cheating my way up the ladder of success. But most people seem to think that it's "normal" to get what ya can however ya can no matter who gets screwed in the process, I mean, just look at the leaders of our country hehee. It makes me wonder what this country will be like 20-30 years from now though. I think I may have to move to Neptune or something.
