Something fortuitous happened! A small furry critter has come into my life. Hehe. I finally got meself a ket. My mom was out shopping yesterday at the pet store and it was raining and some wicked person left a box full of kittens (well not FULL there were only four) outside the pet store and my mom happened, by sheer chance, to be there when an employee found the box and brought it inside the store, and my mom got asked by one of the employees if she wanted a cat they were FREE and if they didn't give them all away they'd have to take them to the POUND. Now, my mom knows I *need* a cat, so she picked one out and gave it to ME! Hehe. My mom is always telling me I don't need a cat cuz where I live I can't have one (well that's not true *anymore* <grin>) even though I'm always whining about how I *need* one and stuff. And my mom is usually one of those pessimists who always thinks of reasons *not* to do things, so I was totally shocked that she got me a cat! Anyway, this little kitten is about 6-7 weeks old I think judging from its size and the fact it has teeth and can eat and poop all by itself, but it still seems to be teething judging from all the gnawing it's doing on my head. It does not yet have a name though. It's a tan and black tabby, and my mom said they told her at the pet store it was a girl, but you know, it's really hard to tell when they're small and wiggly, so, I'm not sure. Anyway, here is a picture of it that I took, if you think of any good generic (ie either gender) cat names that fit a wiggly playful tabby cat lemme know and I'll consider it, otherwise I shall let the cat name itself <grin>.

I hope you all VOTED today! If not, shame on you! Unless, of course, you're not a resident of the USA and/or aren't registered. Then you are excused but the rest of you, I'm gonna tell your mommy on you! BTW, those of you in California who didn't vote for either Simon or Davis because you didn't like either, it is/was your perfect chance to vote for a third party candidate. The country needs fresh blood in the political arena, those Dems and Reps are just stagnant and whiny.

Now, onto other stuff: Last night was the long awaited OMG-I-can't-believe-they're-actually-going-gold-with-this-buggy-unfinished-piece-of-erm-garbage end of beta for Asheron's Call 2. Who woulda thought they'd end it on time! <shudder> The AC2 beta was the worst-run beta I've ever participate in and I've done a lot of betas, both public, private and semi-private. Now, I will say the game did improve substantially in the last few weeks, especially in terms of crashing. But the gameplay itself is still very very unfinished and downright boring. I hope they add WAY more content or this game doesn't stand a chance. Not that I care, since I won't be playing it hehe. Anyway, here are a few screenshots I took last night, unfortunately I missed all the "events" because, being a "grown-up" I had to work all day and then I had school until 10pm and didn't get home until 10:30, but I stayed up until the server went down at midnight! Yay!
