Today I am feeling: ranty

I've been listening to talk radio at work lately and one show I listen to, John & Ken, had a teacher on last week who had been put on 'administrative leave' due to making some 'racist' comments to fellow teachers. Now, I don't totally agree with the way this guy made his point, but I do agree with his point. Basically, he said, and I'm paraphrasing, that in his school, a lot of kids are disruptive and they happen to be black. He didn't say all black students or most black students are disruptive (which is what you might believe if you listen to the commentary by his opposition) but he said that the ones who are disruptive tend to be black, which, in a school of mostly black students, makes sense. Duh. It was a statement of fact, as in "In a barrel of 70% apples and 30% oranges, most of the red fruit tends to be apples." Well, ok, that was a bad analogy, but he wasn't being racist. I admit his use of the word 'african american' wasn't a good choice, he shoulda just said 'some students' or something. But the fact is that SOME STUDENTS are disruptive and that their behavior isn't dealt with, BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK. So, really, the 'racists' are the school admins, who refuse to deal with these kids because of 'cultural sensitivity training'. Now, personally, I have a problem with stuff like this, not because I don't like minorities or don't respect other cultures, but because, in this country, there are certain sub-cultures that exist, one being a classroom setting. And certain behavior should be expected in this classroom culture. Just as certain behavior is expected in a workplace, or a church, or on an airplane. And, because, in the real world, people will not tolerate anti-social behavior, and these admins, by not disciplining these kids, are actually hurting them by making them unemployable, so they will have to rely on crime or social programs to survive as adults, which the Democrats probably love cuz then they'll have a whole bunch of people to vote for them. ;) But truly, I think that all this 'we have to accept this behavior because it's cultural' and they can't help themselves bullcrap is racism, kinda like back a hundred years or so ago when white racists believed blacks were inferior and not human, and couldn't help themselves. Hmmm .... Kinda makes ya wonder what the agenda of these so called 'black activists' really is, doesn't it?

Now, to politics! Ok, last week there was this sentaor dude who happened to be a Democrat, who died in a plane crash and now the Dems wanna put WALTER MONDALE in his place. OMG gimme a break! Hehee. Wow, the Democratic party must be really scraping the bottom of the barrel to bring this guy outta the grave, erm closet. And these Democrats used the "memorial" for this senator dude (which happened to be televised) as a political rally where, I kid you not, there were shouts of "WE WILL WIN!!" Gimme a freakin' break people! Why, oh, why has the Democratic party lost its mind? What the hell are they thinking with all these silly things they've been doing lately? They sound so *desperate* to win! They changed the law in uhm ... some state cuz some Democrat was losing so they pressured him to quit and they put some other guy in there, in violation of the law in that state which said ya can't do that within a certain number of days before the election but the Democrats don't care about the law, they must WIN!! Now, I remember when the Democratic party had an actual platform under which they ran and their candidates were actually, oh, I dunno, honorable and stuff (well as much so as a politician can be) so, what happened? What are they afraid of? Why do they keep changing their mind what they "stand for"? And why don't they just admit they're really a socialist party? ;P Oh, no, wait they're not socialist, because the socialist party actually *does what it says it will do*, sorry, my mistake. Anyway, I am quite embarassed lately to admit I have in the past voted Democratic. I have never been a partisan voter, I always have voted issues rather than party, and I've voted for Dems, Repubs, Libs, Greenies, Independents, and yes, even Socialists, but I have never in my entire life ever considered NOT voting for someone based on their party, but I very well might this election. So, my suggestion to the Democratic party is this: Grow up, stop violating laws, stop the incessant whining, get a platform and stick to it! Is it any wonder why most Americans still rate Bush highly despite his war-mongering, cowboy, kick-ass, egotisical, goofy image? Oh, and btw, don't believe when the Dems say if you vote Repub you'll lose social security or whatever, if anyone will take away your 'free stuff' it's the Dems, not the Repubs, and they'll charge ya higher taxes for it too! And where IS that free medical care for all Americans that Clinton *promised* if ya would just vote for HIM? Not that I think *that* is a good idea, god, has anyone ever lived in a country with socialized medicine? If you think the HMO system is bad, just wait. Hehee.

Ok, no more ranting, my fingers are tired, sorry about any typos/grammatical errors I am just too tired and cranky to fix 'em.

ALL AMERICANS VOTE NOVEMBER 5TH

Or you lose your right to WHINE!!!
