I am a math retard.

Or should I say an algebra retard. Grrr. I took my first algebra test today in my summer math class and uhm ... failed. But someone in class said that if you drop the class you can still register for the one that comes after it, so if I fail algebra I might do that, and pray statistics doesn't rely heavily on algebra or I'm screwed. Too bad we don't live in the future where if you suck at math you could just buy a brain implant to fix stuff.

Bah, I guess this means that I won't be able to support myself by camping l33+ sP4wNz after I graduate, huh? I guess I'll have to start reading those pesky EULAs too. <sigh>

In other news, there's a new Mozilla out, and Neverwinter Nights has finally gone gold (and there's a Linux version too, whee!) All I need is a MMORPG that doesn't suck and that runs on Linux and I can kiss Windows™ goodbye!

Today I have science links:

The only good kind of exponents. Better than those pesky algebraic equations that use 'em that's for sure.

Also, there is a solar eclipse this evening for those in the US and Mexico. Yay! <gets out telescope> Hehe. Well, ok, maybe today is not a good day to be blinded. BTW, this is an annular eclipse, not to be confused with a total eclipse. I had a teacher once who *insisted* that the sun and moon always appear the same size to us on earth. The proof that they don't is the difference between an annular and total solar eclipse, and it's also a good way to get extra credit in your science or astronomy class if you can prove the teacher is wrong. <evil grin>
