Books I am reading: Games I am playing: Anticipating Sims 2 but realizing my computer sucks too much to play it Some oddness abounds today ... while perusing the Apple Insider website, I noticed a news item that said the trailer of the old/new 1984 Macintosh commercial had been edited not only to show the runner wearing an iPod but that the date on the big video screen had been changed from January 24, 1984 to January 26, 2004 and at first I thought yeah, right some loser probably just took a screenshot and altered the image, so I went to view the video myself and at first I thought it did show the old date, but then in a rather clear closeup shot, especially right before it fades out, it appeared to me the date had indeed been changed. So, then I went back to Apple Insider later in the day to read the posts about this news item and found that the story had mysteriously disappeared and so had the forum topic ... hmmm .... We shall have to wait until 9:15am tomorrow to see whether this is just all hype and speculation and maybe a little Mac-fan teasing on Apple's part or if something will happen tomorrow.
