James Davis Literature of the Western World Brian Wilkie/James Hurt Games I am playing: Asheron's Call 2: Fallen Kings [online RPG] The Sims: Makin' Magic Our sun isn't happy. Too bad this latest flare wasn't aimed directly at Earth, that woulda been cool! In school news, I got an A on my paper in my Lit. class, despite the fact that it took me all of about an hour to write. Well, I did spend a lotta time thinking about what I was gonna write about, and couldn't decide and focus cuz there was so much information to choose from, so I just decided to keep it simple and pick one author and one artist and compare them. So, in a way, that may have helped, cuz it made my paper more focused. Plus, most of the other people in my class choose more than one of each, so mine was kinda different. Plus, instead of picking one "movement" I picked one time/place (19th century France) and that was different than any one else did too. So, having a twisted mind and a lazy ass helps sometimes. I thought my paper sucked though, cuz I ran outta time and didn't go into as much depth as I'd have liked to, but I guess my teacher liked it so that's all that matters I guess. I just wish my art classes were this easy. <cries> In cat news, my kitty snuck outside today and didn't wanna come in cuz she was bug-catching (it was dark) and I saw her EAT ONE grrr. I couldn't tell what kinda bug it was she caught but she seemed quite happy with the bug morsel cuz she licked her chops and went after another one. She is one nutty cat. Lemme see, what else. Oh! I hate watercolor painting. I used to like it but that was cuz I would do it for "fun" and not really try to paint anything "real" but in my rendering class we have to paint a mask (plain halloween one lit with one red and one blue light) and trying to make it real was a major ordeal. I finally gave up after 3 "trial" runs which looked so crappy they weren't even recognizable, and I just did my "real" one which is very bad and only very vaguely resembles a mask, the definition is all wrong, the colors are muddy and not bright enough, and I totally fuxxored the whole thing up when I tried to do the black wash for the background (my frisket leaked). Oh well, at least the teacher lets us do them over. I knew I shoulda started on it earlier (it's due Friday) but I slacked on homework over the weekend cuz I was burned out from my major homework overload last weekend and besides me Sims needed me. I'll try to do it again this weekend and turn it in as a re-do if it turns out better. I think our teacher gives us at least a C- for trying, so that's good. But damn I suck at watercolor. And to think I was gonna take a watercolor class next semester, now I'm majorly reconsidering that decision, maybe I'll take a ceramics class instead so I can take my frustrations out punching clay.
