Erm, I mean it's recall election day. Please, don't let my small mistake influence your vote. <wink> In any case, even if you are going to vote against the recall, do vote, and vote for a candidate too, just for the hell of it, even if it's just so you can tell your grandkids, "You know, I remember way back in 2003 I voted for a porn king for governor of California ...." And, as you are voting, remember, as goes California, so goes the country muhahaha. In other news, a friend of mine sent me a URL that raised my ire. It always angers yet simultaneously amuses me, when so-called Christians do really stupid, hateful things. I mean, if you really are a Christian and you really do believe God thinks being a homosexual (is it actually "being" he hates, or just the "doing stuff" he hates?) is so evil and bad it deserves an eternity in Hell, why oh why must you opine in such hateful ways? Do you really truly think that Jesus would erect a monument publically condemning someone to Hell even if Jesus thought the behavior was wrong? Did he erect monuments condemning prostitutes? Or did he just uhm ... like to hang around with them and impress them with his "spirituality"? Personally, blasphemer that I am, I think that if Jesus actually did exist, he was probably not as "perfect" as his followers would like to believe, and even if he was perfect, God still killed him anyway, so what's the point? If you don't like something they do, just remember, they probably don't like something you do either, so just keep it to yourself, and let "God" sort out who's naughty and nice, and maybe if you're lucky, when you die you'll find out there is no God anyway, or that there is a God but he's a gay pagan vegetarian pot-smoker who rides a skateboard and watches Oprah. Oh! And yesterday, after doing all my homework (ok, not all of it) I played AC2 for awhile and finally made level 30! Woot! Now I can go play on big-kid island (Linvak)! Only trouble is, the monsters there are level 40+ and since the September patch, if a monster is more than 10 levels higher or lower than you are, you get crappy experience for killing them. So, I went back through the portal back to little-kid land (Omishan) and killed a few moarsmen. At 1k a pop. Which is less than the 3-4k a pop I get for big-kid monsters, but they're much harder to kill, so my per-hour take is still higher on Omishan. I'm level 30 now though, so I might even be able to actually do some of the quests on Omishan now (like the vaults and soulbound). It'll have to wait till next weekend though, cuz I still have homework to do. I am really starting to dislike my literature class, analyzing French symbolist poetry, Russian realism and Italian modernism just don't do anything for me. And the teacher is uhm ... well, she scares me hehe. Threats of pop-quizzes or losing points for not "participating" and stuff, but I'm thinking, if I don't know wtf this stuff is about, what's the point of "contributing" just to contribute, if I don't have anything worthwhile to say? I think I shoulda dropped the class while I had the chance, but now it's too late, and the school only lets you drop for extenuating circumstances. Oh, well, I'll just stick it out and try to get at least a C hehe. We have to do an oral presentation in this class too, which sucks, I hate those enough when I know what I'm talking about, but if I'm clueless, it'll be worse. I knew I shoulda taken "Pagan Culture", I've heard it's an "awesome" class.
