Here are some pics from AC2, with the same scene (Cavendo) with three different settings:

This is with everything on "high" and all the effects like light, shadow, wave effects, land frill, etc enabled. I cannot play the game with these settings, in fact, I can barely take screenshots with them this high. These ones use the normal textures though, cuz the demo doesn't include the "high resolution" textures you can use if your computer r0XXorZ.

This is what it looks like with the settings I used in beta, pretty much everything is set to medium and most effects except frill are disabled. I can't play with these settings anymore. These are the default settings the game chooses on install.

This is how I set it to actually play, and it's still slow. Everything is set to either low or very low or disabled. It looks really crappy, huh? Almost as bad as old AC.

The computer I play with is below specs in RAM and processor though, and it was barely above them for beta. AC2 is one game where they actually raised the minimum specs from beta, which is pretty unusual - usually betas tend to over-estimate what you'll need, but I guess they realized the game sucked.
