Today I am feeling: ok

Books I am reading:
The Subtle Knife Philip Pullman
Voyages Through the Universe Fraknoi/Morrison/Wolff

Games I am playing:
SimCity 4

I visited the vet today for the fourth time in less than a week - this time to get a helmet <grin> for the cat muhahaha. Yesterday I took her in to get her pain patch removed cuz she kept pulling the bandage off and I was afraid she'd eat the patch itself and I didn't really want a kitty having a major synthetic morphine overdose thank you very much. Today it was cuz she'd pulled out one of her sutures, I guess not having that pain patch bandage contraption to fuss at, she was bored and attacked her incision. Silly cat, I promised her the vet would not only stick her with a large needle for being naughty but would make her endure getting re-stitched up without drugs, but alas, the vet looked at her and decided she was fine and just gave her a helmet (Elizabethan collar) to keep her naughty mouth away from her owie until she gets the stitches removed at the right time next week. Damn. Oh well, at least she can't do that "sucky-the-blankey" thing anymore. It might even slow her down on her running and jumping too, who knows. She looks quite delightful in it, too, I'll upload a picture sometime, I took it but I'm too lazy to put new batteries in the camera to upload it to the computer and I don't feel like updating the kitty pr0n erm pix page just now. But I shall not forget, my loyal kitten fans!

School is going ok, I've gotten all A's on my art assignments so far and my teacher really liked my bunny sculpture for my 3D class, I might upload a pic of it if I remember to bring it home from school someday soon. It's amazing what one can do with foamboard and too much time. Hehee. I'm really not that thrilled about this 3D class so far, I'm quite sure by the end of the semester I will never want to see another piece of foamboard for as long as I live. And I've got another assignment due next week and still have about 50 pieces to cut out grrrr. Maybe I'll just do illustration board this time since it's easier to cut, I can use scissors. My 2D design class is ok though, so far it's been ink on Bristol board (which I love, ink is one of my fave mediums) or cutting out black paper and gluing it to Bristol, which is ok, but reminds me a bit too much of 3rd grade. I'm not that thrilled with painting though, I really suck at painting and the oil painting cleanup is a pain in the uhm ... well it's too much trouble to do at home with no toxic waste recepticle and that means I've not started my homework assignment which is due next week. Ooops, bad me. I read somewhere that you can use vegetable oil for cleanup instead of thinner/turp though so I may try that although I still have nowhere to paint cuz of the darn kitten so I must pray for good weather so I can paint en plein aire or however you spell it. Thankfully with mediums like Liquin, oil paint dries overnight or I'd be very cranky.
