Why is it that cats always want to "help" make the bed? I swear, every single cat I've ever owned felt the need to help me make my bed. Are they looking for those pesky bed mice that they know are in there somewhere? Do they see bed bugs that I don't? I don't get it. I mean, is getting a blanket tossed over your head really that much fun? Oh well, I guess it's better than them wanting to help me cook dinner.
In other kitty news, my cat discovered the joy of birdwatching today. It was a nice warm California winter day (haha sorry east coasters but it was about 80 degrees here today) and she got to play outside for awhile. She has gotten brave enough to venture from the patio to the back yard where, joy of all joys there is a birdbath and a bird feeder (in the neighbor's yard). My cat also earned a new nickname: "Chitter" for the little chitter noise she makes when bird watching. I guess she gets so excited she can't contain her joy, which is actually a good thing for the birds cuz it gives them an audible warning she's there.
I also found that my Sportbrain makes a good kitty toy. So now, if I don't get in my 10,000 steps a day I can just toss my Sportbrain to my cat to get a few extra steps. Hehe. Actually, I do have a spare Sportbrain around here somewhere, I could give her her own and see who "wins" each day. Too bad the cat is so small and Sportbrains aren't water proof or I could just attach it to her collar along with her nametag.
Also, the 2003 Kitten Pix! page has been updated with pix of the "food dance" and a new pic of the kitty kickin' back.
