I finally got my diploma, I had to go to the school and smack some people to get it though. They were supposed to be mailed out in August, but apparently there are not enough government employees working in the records office so the diplomas were sitting in, I kid you not, a filing cabinet, waiting for someone to mail them out. If I hadn't gone in (and I had to go into work an hour early, that's 7am, which means I had to get up at freakin' 5:30am, so I could get to the records office by closing time at 5pm) then my poor little diploma mighta sat there for years for all I know. Anyway, now I have two pieces of paper saying I'm smart, my certificate which says I'm a microcomputer programmer <snicker> and my AA degree which says I wasted my time for 2 years getting a pretty worthless piece of paper. But it's a special piece of paper cuz I was in the "75th graduating class" and it says so in GOLD too! So, like, my diploma is a collector's item or something or will be in another 75 or so years if the world still exists then.

In other news, that new show Push, Nevada was on the other night, and also tonight. It's kinda a tv version of that failed game Majestic or something, kinda like sorta. Well, it's about as "interactive" as Majestic was. In other words, not much. And unless I'm missing something, the "puzzles" are stupidly dumb, so far anyway. And I dunno how this winning money will work, my guess is it'll be a dumb "submit your answer here" weblink and some doofus will write a macro <eyes macro-loving friend you know who you are> and spam the mailbox with irrelevant replies so no one will get a chance to win. And, of course, people on the east coast will have an advantage cuz they'll see the episodes first, and even if ABC postpones submission till after it airs on the west coast, east coasters can have their info all ready to go ahead of time. Anyway I like puzzles and I like tv, so unless they ruin it like Majestic was ruined by EA, it should be a somewhat fun diversion.
