Today I am feeling: ambivalent

Random thoughts today since I've not written in this thing for almost a week. Lemme see ... I hate working. I have a math test on Monday ... I hate math. Uhm ... politicians are pissing me off with their whining and stupid little truth-twisting games, I'm not sure I trust the prez but I sure as hell would rather have him in office than that puppet Al Gore (sorry Gore fans) what with us probably going to war with Iraq which is who we shoulda gone to war with in the first place instead of Afghanistan but that's another topic for another day. I am a pacifist so I don't like war but sometimes ya just gotta smack down the lamerz, yannow? Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori and all that. Although my list of who the lamerz are would probably label me as unpatriotic, so, seeing as I live in a country that values political correctness more than honesty, I will remain silent on that one.

In other news, at the building where I work, there was a blood drive over the last couple days. Being a chicken who is deathly frightened of needles due to my unfortunate experience getting a blood test once and having the technician probe and prod for about 20 minutes for a vein in my arm before giving up and going for my hand after my having told her in the first place to use my hand because "I have no veins in my arms" <g> and her saying "Oh, it's ok I'll find a vein, don't worry," I didn't donate, but some other lady in the building did ... and afterwards she went upstairs, passed out and no one could revive her due to no one knowing CPR in the office she was in. The paramedics tried to revive her for almost 45 minutes but to no avail, she died. Sad, huh? And they say giving blood is safe. Well, let this be a lesson to you all ... if you give blood, for goodness sake, do not climb stairs after! And, everyone, learn CPR just in case, k? (I do know CPR by the way, but alas no one went knocking to other offices. I'm not sure how long it took the paramedics to get there, but who knows, someone mighta saved her, yannow?)
